BF2142 HL2.net clan?

I see lots of stuff about playing BF2 as a clan over xfire, but what about 2142? Or is it too soon to tell...? Or just implied.

I'm getting bored of having squads that maintain radio silence all the time...

The HL2.net clan was never a proper clan but we played a couple of great matches together. The Big Sunday Night Fight against the 256 clan was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had. Pure awshensness.

Yeah, the [HL2] clan was just a big get together for some great laughs, and besides the percentage of people who have BF2142 to BF2 is hugely lower!

If I had the resources (and experience) to run a clan, I'd be the first to offer, but circumstances are not so.

As far as I know, a clan needs at least two things: reasonably dedicated players, and a place to play. I have no doubt that we can find the first component, but the latter isn't so easy, I think.

Actually, me and some friends play like a small clan. Basically we have each other on the buddy list and since we tend to log on and play at similar times of the week, we all join the same server (thanks to the join same server buddy option) and squad up.

But we have no set schedule and no server. But it works fine for us.

I say a good way to get some hl2netters together would be to make a post featuring all the bf2142 names of the forum posters that play so that people can add them to the buddy list. Then we can sort of coagulate onto the same servers when we log on.
