Just saw this on BFG's site. I hope some new Steam titles will be incorporated. A bit of a price tag though, I've heard around $300, which is more then my video card ATM. Enjoy!

Meh. As long as it has active cooling I'm not going to buy it :/

.. and a 300$ pricetag

Errr I doubt VALVe will be looking into them, supposedly Havok is doing their own, you'd probably see VALVe jump on that most likely.

Havok has Havok FX but thats for the graphic cards. And so far it's believed that its effects may not be altered by the player because it has no cpu interaction. They are probably doing their own ppu based set though.

I'm not sure which way Valve would go, but they could do both also you have to consider: Ageia's PPU API\SDK is free unlike Havok's. With Havok you'll have to shove out some $$. So Ageia's PPU will definently be looked into by smaller based companies which really works on steam. Steam is being used for smaller companies that can't find a publisher and don't have a ton of money.

ive been looking at this but cant find much info. what slot do they plug into? does it just plug into a standard PCI slot and work?! i reckon the prices will go down once games become supported. so far nothing uses it so its useless.

Yes, they said they might release a PciE x16 version later.

EDIT: Wow the new Cellfactor footage is pretty awesome. It shows off cloth dynamics (truly awesome) and fluids (truly awefull :(). Exploding players just fall over and spawn like 100 gallons of red, sticky balls... It also shows a few cool tricks in the gameplay and a CTF mode (or atleast some capture the stick gameplay).
