It seems that toddlers, babies, and even those yet to see the light of day may be targetted by the government for special aid and perhaps even taken away from their families.

Tony Blair is cracking down on the social problem by predicting which children are likely (one method is via a computer program) to become trouble makers in the future by targetting families known to be dysfunctional or, from the impression I got on the news, underprivileged.

What a big can of worms :)
 
You guys already have video cameras everywhere, I guess this is the next step.
 
hmm lets not tackle societal problems by addressing why they're menaces let's tag them before birth and make sure they become what we say they'll become because everyone knows heavy governmental intervention in social issues such as parenting is always accepted with open arms ..especially when it's forced on them
 
New Labour allways comes up with these crack pot stories to divert attention from other things. But the scary part is they believe there own spin half the time and try and make <insert spin> law or policy.
 
Post-natal euthanization of chavs? Sounds like a good idea.
 
I say as an alternative lift all civil protections on the known chav offenders. Have a "beat a chav" week where citizens with baseball bats can hunt the chavs down.

Easier to force IQ tests on the population and sterilise those that perform poorly. Maybe make parents apply for a license before being allowed to give birth (of course, they'll need a certain amount in their bank balance to even be considered). Turning a few crappy cities such as Coventry into huge work camps to get rid of the elderly and disabled would help smooth things along too.

this is ridiculous, its the nany state taking control of every aspect of our lives. Hopefully the next PM will throw this idea away the moment he takes office.
