Man. My personal opinion from the little information we have... is that this woman is full of crap. I just can't imigine cosby, being nearly 70 years old now, doing something like this. He just doesn't strike me as the type of man. I just don't know.

The woman is probably just after quick cash, no doubt.

Bill Cosby taught me not to put 9mm bullets in a revolver.

[sarcasm]Yes, as its impossable for a star too act differently off cameras, so the jolly guy you see on tv has to be the person he is off camera and would never dream of doing somthing bad[/sarcasm]

Its quite funny. And its the same old story too.

Victim says he's her mentor, Cosby "lures" her over to his place to discuss her career, she says she feels tired, Cosby gives her pills which make her doozy and then molests/rapes her.

Same shit, different day. Cosby's reps say its a classic shakedown.

Before this complaint was filed against him, the girls mother asked Cosby to help pay for her education and to help her out financially. When Cosby turned her down, she filed this complaint.

She's lying, obviously.

Oh don't even start with me Ritz. I'm not basing my opinion of Cosby off of his performances, and you damn well know that. So don't be getting sarcastic about that crap.

I guess you believe everybody to be guilty until proven innocent, hmm?

Bill Cosby also taught me not to call men who do ballet sissies.

LOL you can't put 9mm bullets in a revolver can you? revolvers are caliber not millimeter. ... as far as I know.

.357
.45 cal
etc.

9mm

But I guess that was your joke- either way, I would have found it slightly humorous just becuase it was an unexpected comment.
:D

On Fat Albert, the kid pretended to be a cowboy and blew his hands off because of those bullets.

Somebody actually watched the Fat Albert movie? Wow. Heh.

Anyways. Back on topic!

I thought the movie was still under development.

It better soon...

(Back on topic from now on, kthx.)

Except that I don't believe Jackson is innocent. Whereas I have hope and believe that Cosby is innocent in this situation.

Its just hard to know what happens in any of these cases. I just put it to one side and go with the facts.

Something that the non-lawyers here should know, and that Angry Lawyer I think would agree with me on - is that we settle bullsh_t cases all the time. The public often thinks, AHA! He paid money to settle! Must be true! Nah - its just that the plaintiff gets to make up whatever he or she likes, and drag your name through the mud in an expensive trial. Especially with conversations that are not videotaped or recorded - how can you provide proof (remember American Beauty - prove you didn't ask me to blow you!) that you never asked sexual favours of a person? Such claims are easily made and almost impossible to refute. So, the best course, even if the client is 100 per cent innocent is to advise or suggest to the client to make a payment for them to go away. Cases are also expensive to defend which is a factor.

This payment also means that they have to shut up, because there will be a provision in the deed of release saying that they cant talk about the case anymore except to say it has settled.

Thats interesting Calanen, wow, I didn't know that. paying people to shut up... :hmph: I guess thats not such a bad idea after all -if you do it right.

:D

There are some revolvers that can be rimmed for 9mm cartridges.......revolvers can handle a lot more different types of bullet than an auto.
basically you have clips that go around the cartridges waist that proudce the rim so they can be used like revolver bullets.

metric or imperial measurement has nothing to do with wether its in an auto or a revolver.......you can call each round what you like........a .380acp or a 9x17mm.

The thing is with rounds designed for use in revolvers are usually older in origin, .45 long colt, .38 s&w e.t.c......old and american derived, all using the imperial. cartridges from europe with use metric.

Its a bit of an annoying system for people who know little about guns.
i see people getting confused thinking a .22 is 2.2mm diameter bullet and all sorts of silly things.

So yes, you can put 9mm cartridges in revolvers.

waaayyyy off topic:
So do any revolvers come store bought using other than caliber?
or do they have to be modified

Surely america is not the only country that makes revolvers - did other countries just conform to the standard calibers of bullets when they designed their revolvers

Europe has not produced many good revolvers at all, only things like webleys, Manurhin revolvers from france.
A lot of designs are quite old and antique from europe such as belgium 9mm pinfire revolvers and things like that.

America has always had the best revolvers, designs often used over here.........most common revolver calibres being .38, .357 (which are nearlly exactly the same barrel diameter.....despite idiotic naming) .44 and .45

You can buy revolvers in 10mm magnum and other metric calibres from shops in america.......other cartridges like .45acp and 9mm often will have those clips i was talking about for use in other calibre revolvers.

I dont know that much about guns because i live in the Uk and dont have access to them, sorry.

You people suck. Since when was this a topic about revolvers. God dammit.

Any way, going off of that one link, I think she's full of crap. Her story is generic and common. Why she waited a ****ing year to make her case is also something I don't quite get.

"My mentor drugged me and slipped his dick in me" No, I don't think so, sweetheart.

Oh get over it with your holier than thou-ness, while at the same time using the lords name in vain.

like you never got off on another topic momentarily. see lemonkings pic for a better description.

You people suck, and bring flames wherever you go

BTW remember I was the first person to help you(literally) when you were worried about getting sued for being an idiot about not removing a childs suggestive pic., and I was one of the only people that was nice and didn't flame you. How easily you forget who is the enemy

My comment wasn't to be taken so seriously, but I'll bite.

I'm unsure where you picked up on any "Holier-than-thou" attitude, but your freakin' drivel has been going on for two pages. That is not going off topic "momentarily". The topic is Bill Cosby and his supposed sex scandal. If you want to dig out your copies of Guns & Ammo and talk about muzzle velocities and bullet calibres, then make a different one.

Different topic. Different situation. Sticking up for me in one thread is not going to earn you infinite kudo points in my book. Sorry, but that's really just the way it is.

If I ever feel that you're recieving an undeserved thrashing, I'll make my thoughts on it clear.

My mistake. Fat Albert also wasted a sizable chunk of space.

Actually, screw it. I'm in a pissy mood for some reason and I'm certainly not helping matters. I think I'll just go in a corner and shut up for a few minutes.

Hmmm...

Well like said above it is possible to use 9mm shells in revolver. It would take a little work, but it is possible.

Hows that for drivel? :D

Absinthe, dont murder the world ... you could be charged and thrown in jail ...

At least he wouldn't have to worry about a shortage of people fighting to keep him from being charged with the death penalty. Unless those are the people he killed first.

Heh heh.

Man that's harsh.....but its what a lot of people do and think. I have helped a lot of so called 'friends' over the years when they had trouble with the law. Are they still friends now? Nope. One in particular who had a lot of trouble representing herself against a major corporation, which I shadowed her on (ie in the background just saying, hmm, might wanna try x...) and they must have thought WTF? how is she so good - and she won - wont even return my phone call. So it was just a 'use' she was never a friend at all.

Many good deeds just make others say, yeah but what have you done for me lately? Thats most people, corporations, organisations - you are only as good as we think you are right at this moment, no matter what you have done prior to this.
