Bind problems

I'm a HL2 newbie ... bought it a few weeks ago. I have a problem with creating a proper bind for the turbo activation in the Hwy 17 segment. Read all of the Help stuff at Valve and ... nada :-(

So, how do ya' bind the added functions so the SOB's are available whan needed ... like jumping the very first highway bridge chasm coming off the beach?

Ummm...isn't it just 'Shift'?

It tells you so when you get into the Buggy.

You can only use Nitrous once every 10 seconds or so, and they are triggered by the left shift key by default... but you obviously already know this...

So, whats the problem again? I'm confused.
