Why do so few people seem to use binks? Yet they are totally free to use, and are very high quality. www.radgametools.com

Not only free, but hopelessly easy to use.

Probably because of their tremendously large file size compared to other formats.

not really.

convert psyche to .avi and see.

Converting really isn't a good idea.
The only way to get good quality is to use bink first.

BINKs are mainly a gamer's/developer's tool.

There's no advantage of using BINKs for generalised use, but for capturing game footage and including in games as intro movies/cut scenes they're great.

?What does bink have to do with capturing game footage praytell?

You just need to have whatever your using output to image files, then use the rad game tools to bink them and add music?

Advantages include, very high quality video, and you can create them as self-executing files so no need to download tons of codecs and players.

well, some people also don't like the executable part. I wouldn't trust an executable from anyone save companies and stuff. the general public, no way.

some people prefer having their players, also, lots of stuff.
