I'll wait for the price drop online if I want the Collectors Edition. I got so many for the $40-50 price point because retailers had so many left over

TBH, I think I'll wait for this to go down to $4.99 on steam.

I quite like the look of all that. Problem is I have no real driving urge to get Bioshock 2 and I haven't the money to use all at once like that which is a bummer. Posters and book look sexy as hell. Really enjoyed the art book that came out with Bioshock. <3 Scott Sinclair.

Why is the Xbox 360 and PS3 version $99.99 and the PC version is $89.99?

Unless the game gets glowing reviews, I'm going to wait to get it until the price drops.

a vinyl LP featuring the orchestral score from the original Bioshock
This...this almost makes me want to spend the money on it. Almost. And I don't even want Bioshock 2.

Hm? No scale model?

Suddenly it is inferior to the first's collector's edition.

There is absolutely no way that is worth the 69.99 they are charging for the PC version. I'll make do with the regular edition.

I find these collector's editions tough to get excited about. It's not like a DVD where you've already seen the movie, and know whether it's worth having the memorabilia as well (and even if DVDs worked like that, they don't include software that stops you from legitimately selling on the pile of dog-turd you've unwittingly invested in). Bioshock 2 basically epitomises the sequel that no one asked for, the game that everyone will be waiting until reviewed to bother playing.

The artbook is tempting, because I vaguely collect such books (I have the book for the first, and the art seems reasonable in Cistern Shock 2 as well) but I think I'm just going to get the vanilla version, and get one of the really rather brilliant looking action figures instead (From what I saw of the Bouncer Daddy preview in a local comic book shop, they're considerably higher quality than the malformed disappointment that shipped with the original Collector's Edition, which I also didn't buy). Perhaps they'll sell the artbook individually sometime down the line...

Alternatively, I could just wait it out and see if the Limited Edition ever gets to a reasonable price. It's not like I'm desperate to play this game.
