Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams teaser

My draw dropped. It's things like this that make me forget how boring I found the first game.

Cool. I liked the first game, all they'd have to do is improve the combat and get rid of the vats (or at least ship with the option to play without them) and I'd be sold. As long as the story is more or less as strong.

I haven't even played the first game D:

I can't get into it. I don't like being scared. I'm a pussy when it comes to scary games!

Better not tempt fate Raziaar, your milk might turn sour! :p

Looks sweet!

Wow, that was a beautiful teaser. I really, reallyyyy want that Big Daddy Doll, effing cute.

I would like to know more about this soon.

It's not really that scary Raz. At first, it's slighlty unnerving but after a while you start to enjoy the rambling SPLOICERS and running into Big Daddies.

I'll give Bioshock this, it has a very powerful atmosphere, but I wouldn't define it as scary. :)

But... but... women... crawling all over the walls, with castration capable blades!

Pretty pleeeeeease.

It's not "horror" scary, it's "thriller" scary... that's the way I think of it anyway. I can't really handle horror games either, stuff like Silent Hill, Condemned, even F.E.A.R gets to me. But it's less the creepy psychological kind of scary and more the tense, action-focused kind. Maybe it's just me, but I'm a lot more comfortable with that, even if it makes me jump now and then. There are a couple of parts that are a little unsettling, and you'll shit yourself the first time you fight a Big Daddy, but besides that it's pretty tame.

The game made me shit my pants all the way through. :(
But, it DID calm itself down on the horror scale after awhile, even though I did still jump every now and then... just not as often as when I first started playing.
What @ teaser, somewhat creepy.

Good deal. Let's see if they can maintain the level of engagement that the first one had topped-out for the entire length of the game! It was quite a ride.

Have to be firm with these Texans. They're either Steers or queers.

Raziaar's a cow. D:

Interesting although to be fair I don't think bioshock needed a sequel anyway

I am worried, from the looks of it, we will just be going back to rapture?

Anyways, Bioshock is kinda creepy, but definately not unnervingly scary. It's very funny actually.

Trailer was very cool. But im very skeptical on where they are going to take it. Plus the main dudes are not working on part 2 so...

Shouldn't it be called Pure-Shock or Bioshock 0

as its meant to be before the first one. :S

Wait what? I did not see this anywhere. Plus the logo makes it look like an old rapture.

Source?

Edit: It's definitely not a prequel:

N4G member "thewho" just finished the PS3 version of Bioshock and once unlocked, in the extras menu, there is a 15 second trailer for the sequel.

Confirmed title is Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams. The trailer shows a grown up little sister holding a big daddy plush toy, while buildings in the form of Rapture rise from the sand. It's set on the Atlantic Coast.

I have no idea how this game can even be considered scary.

maybe for a child. OOOOOOOOoooooooooooo

Word has it this one's depicting the construction of Rapture. This confuses me, as I thought showing the fall of Rapture would make for more gameplay opportunities. Guess they're saving that for the third. I'm glad they've taken an unexpected route, gives them a chance to be creative and for me to be surprised. I'm just not sure at all how Rapture's construction is going to complement the BioShock gameplay. BioShock Civ game maybe?

OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD I cant wait.

I saw somewhere that they were making a prequel but it was the going to be called part 2 for some bloody reason.

Could be possible they are making a prequel too, tho.

Looks like a sequel. Look at the logo. It has a bunch of stuff growing on it. Bioshock 1's logo was only a bit rusty (1 year after the SHTF).

Late 1960's?

It's not really all that scary, kids might find it scary but I doubt an adult will. The setting is grim but its just not all that terrifying and I don't think the game is trying to terrify you.

By the way try Thief 3's the Cradle mission, it's jolly good fun and very light hearted. It will get you in the mood for Bioshock. :D

Little Sisters all grown up. Now what do they do with their lives... and cities of sand? Interesting.

I almost feel as though they are suggesting Rapture will surface.

If that were the case would give us a chance to explore alot more of the city as you wouldn't really have any flooded areas or anything of that nature.

If it were to surface making an island, it would be like a Nazi thing like somebody said. Maybe the splicers makes boats too... D:
