A film based on the game Bioshock has been confirmed, and is to be released in 2010. It will

also coincide with the release of Bioshock 3 as well. The film is being directed by Gore

Verbinski, director of Pirates of the Carribbean. The film will center around Jack and most

likely be based off of the game for the most part. No actors or other personnel have been

announced as of yet. It is most likely to be shot on Greenscreen looking like the 2006 movie

300 or the 2005 movie sin city. All i know is that the main character should be played by Adrian

Brody.

Wow, it's coinciding with the 3rd game?

Imminent rush job on the sequels.

of course once a franchise has been made, there will sequales to 95% coming out in the future.

The Bioshock movie has the potential to kick arse and I hope it lives up to it.

Imminent rush job on the sequels.
I don't have high hopes for the sequels for a number of reasons. They aren't being made by the same team who did BioShock, super strict timetables are rarely a good thing and the narrative of BioShock doesn't really scream for a sequel.

Nooo Adrian Brody.

Also OP, where have you heard this "Is most likely to be shot on Greenscreen looking like the 2006 movie 300 or the 2005 movie sin city."? Source Please.

Using a

greenscreen for this movie is probably 70% true seeing how there is no rapture city. Think

about it. :O

Lots of movies are set in non-existing places. Does that mean they're all filmed using a greenscreen?

I got most of that information off of imbd and wikipedia. The film being shot on greenscreen

and looking similar to 300 or sin city, i got that off some hollywood fan site. Using a

greenscreen for this movie is probably 70% true seeing how there is no rapture city. Think

about it. :O

Heres the link to what it said.

No, I am more concerned about the part where you said it is to be similar looking to 300 or Sin City, which I think would be terrible for Bioshock.

And also this-

Lots of movies are set in non-existing places. Does that mean they're all filmed using a greenscreen?

Nope.

Isn't there a rapture like film with a couple of kids in it coming out soon? I'm pretty sure I saw some trailer for it a while back. It's like a big underground complex.

This is so going to kickass! Could turn into the best game to movie transition, beating out Silent Hill.
