The staircase was very impressive. So was the water when he was looking out into the ocean through the glass.
The rest doesn't seem that much of an improvement over most other water in any other game.
doesnt the water respond to physics though?
There are none-PhysX games on their way that offer full fluid dynamics/physics..the only physics library to even offer fluid dynamics at the moment is physx .
I know Half-Life 2's water "properly refract the light and calculates surface reflectivity" or something - but that may not be physics...only lighting.
Take that for what you will, but just because a game developer says their game does something, doesn't always mean all of the other games don't do it.
But I'm not very certain that all of the other games out there have water that responds to physics :|

Splash also features the first ever real-time full fluid dynamics engine. Our unique fluid physics solver combined with advanced programmable shaders technology allow us to create some of the most realistic and interactive environments ever seen in a computer game.
nope thats not water physics that is just buoyancy in hl2. im talking about if you splash then you see the splash or a wave.
