Next time they'll probably shut it down because someone sneezed on the control panel. Jeez.

The bird dropped some bread on a section of outdoor machinery, eventually leading to significant over heating in parts of the accelerator. The LHC was not operational at the time of the incident, but the spike produced so much heat that had the beam been on, automatic failsafes would have shut down the machine.

That bird was an operative from the future and made a successful dive bombing mission.

Doesn't anyone find it ridiculous that a piece of bread on outside machinery can make it overheat?

that's sort of hilarious...yet sad because he lost his treat

isnt the thing supossed to be underground?

"hey chirac, what about letting this important part of the fragile machinery here in the open whit all this weather and ooutdoors?"

"we already have the nuclear waste near the outside bathroom, but is ok"

Sight...

So when will this thing be actually turned on. It's been postponed so many tines it's not even funny.

So in the future, you can take over the mind of an animal then destroy planet earth with little effort?? also taking over animal bodies would be more fun than taking over a human body. I would love to fly around or swim in the deep ocean for a day.

Care to elaborate?

I once dropping a crumb of my chocolate Muffin on the top of my Snes cartridge, and that made the screen screw up completely. Thus started the repetitive tapping of the cartridge to get a cheap laugh.

Nope, everybody finds it completely normal, thats why it made the news and why theres a thread here about it. Because its completely normal and not ridiculous.

:E

anyway to speak like french all I have to do is have food in my mouth and make babless

Oui, jusqu'en 2007, mais maintenant, le premier ministre est Nicholas "Burkas mmkay sont mauvais" Sarkozy.

oh mon dieu. :( :(

God damn...is the LHC in BMRF by chance? Their equipment is about as fragile.

Oh you...

I don't even understand how that could possibly affect it.

I thought most of the Large Hadron Collider was underground...?

Yes, most of it is. Obviously, the parts that the bird dropped bread on were not.

Or it was an underground bird.

one of the most advanced pieces of equipment on earth thwarted by bird shit. go humanz!
