Birthday Reminder App

Isn't there a program that tells me when people's birthday is coming up? Been wanting something like that for years, and I would think everyone would want one. Not sure why it's not a popular thing.

I need like an address book/calender thingy.

See, my brain is very tiny, and I'm reserving memory for very important things.


oh, I wanted something offline.

I think a calendar made of paper should actually be just fine. Kinda wanted something that is on my computer so that it makes me look at it.

I've got an idea. I'll make a desktop wallpaper with a miniature 12 month calander tiled so all the months are visible, with little boxes where I can put friends/family names on their birth dates.

I'll take a real calendar and scan it, scale it, and tile it, then zoom in and type names. then use it as a wallpaper. Then my excuse for not remembering will be that an icon was in the way.

Isn't that what a calendar's for? You know, like a thing with paper? That you write on?

If you have microsoft office version 2002 or above outlook includes a handy little calendar you can use. If you have a cell phone virtually every cell phone out there now has a calendar you can use. And finally if none of that works for you use google calendar, awesome web application. I know you said you want it offline but since you are obviously connected to the internet why wouldn't an online version work for you?
