Hi guys how's it going? I'm opening this thread to see if you can help me with a huge problem I'm having. I bought this new laptop ( A Satellite A105-S4004 with 128 Mb of video card, 1.6 dual procesor and 1 Gb of RAM) only to find out that I can't play multiplayer on it. Let me explain. The first thing I did when I got it was to instal Half-life 2, and all went smoothly; then I instaled half-life 2 deathmatch which was the one I was really interested in. I started it up, the loading screen came and then.....black; as soon as thge loading screen ends the whole menu screen turns black (I can still hear the selection tabs though). I kinda freaked out, and started to update every driver I could (sound, video, direct X, etc...), I even asked valve for help, but they only told me to update my drivers. Then I downloaded DoD and the same thing happens. Intrestingly enough, it doesn't happen with singleplayer. What can I do? Please help.

I just downloaded and tried counter strike:source.....the same thing happens; what can it be?

Hey i was just wondering what you did to fix it, i am having the same problem with CS:S, it goes "Loading..." but then after that the whole screen goes black but i can still click the buttons

I also have a Toshiba laptop but instead mine is an M100-JG2.

Not sure if your still around anymore, but can anyone else help me?
