black mesa in ashes?

well I was pageing the g-man set us up the bomb thread and I posted about when teh g-man set up the nuke in BM... did it ever go off? I know black mesa was trashed but was it ever completely destroyed?? if so do you think any Xen survived??

There is a full screen flash when your riding in the helicopter with the G-man at the end of OP4. When it happens the G-man is also refering to Black Mesa as being an "embarrassment". So in a short answer, yes the bomb did go off and black mesa has been destroyed, but to what extent is still unknown.

Yeah the G-man said he'd put u "somwhere safe from danger" so im assuming he teleported him into pretty much no-where until he needed help (i think that might be what happend to gordon to)

I remeber back soon after E3 or somtin a lot of sites said that Gabe said that u get to c both barney AND shepard....Op4 2?

I really enjoyed both, in fact I am playing blue shift right now. I spent the weekend playing through HL and OPfor as well.... I love the way the storylines intermixed. I even went looking for some good single player maps, but came up short; many sites links don't work, and fileplanet makes me wait 120 minutes lately (blech!). I thought Sheppard was really fun to play. Ah heck, I loved them all. Never seen a single game that gave so much as HL. I hope they continue this tradition (story told from multiple angles) in the future.
