There's no news on their website, it still says "committed to releasing in 2009" so do you think it'll be released in the next month?

My bad If I'm being a N00B.

Been checking the forums over there... plenty of activity lately. They're still committed to a 2009 release, so it should be soon. If not by the end of the year, early next year.

So, anyone else come here because they saw 'Black Mesa released' in the forum listings?

When they say they've 'committed' to a 2009 release, it's pretty meaningless and I'm sure the internet would forgive them if they outright lied. But I'd think they're going to release within the next half-year.

me me - I don't really care about it, but I want to see what they did with source engine

Didn't they promise a summer release?

They'd not miss the 2009 MOTY competitions, maybe a surprise release in the next month or so.

Or, maybe just a post saying "Heh, uh, heh... we're committed to releasing in 2010!"

the music...damn it, it's ****ing horrible

Goddamn the Gluon Gun looks awesome. Not really expecting it, but would be a nice surprise if they released it this month.

It honestly is looking really good. I'm still considering getting it.

Wonder if they are still using my animations? Kind looks similer :S

How can you lend so many resources to a mod over a 6 year period and stay afloat? That's what I call dedication.

Ha, their website is getting so much traffic right now.

If BM released on time, it wouldn't be a very good Half-Life remake.

Think about it.

Emulating the game right down to the company trends I suppose...

Definitive proof that these guys are Valve material.

Well I'd prefer they'd finish it rather than push to release something buggy. Gluon gun is looking good. If at least some of these guys don't get job offers when this ships it'll be a shame (assume it's actually any good) seeing as how bloody long they've been working on this.

Guess it was inevitable then

I started thinking they had it covered because it was so late in the game to admit they wouldn't make it. I'm kinda disappointed but I wish the bm team the best so that they end up with a great game. I hope it's not delayed too much (not a year, right?). Funny how their site isn't responding anymore :rolling:

Well, I guess I should take advantage of everything that's free, but it has to be worth something. I mean, would I really want to get a game that is basically just a copy with better graphics? I mean look at Half-Life Source. The only difference was the water and the fact that it had ragdolls. That gets old after a while. Should I get Black Mesa? Maybe.

Check out the trailer for BMS. You will find that it is more than a graphic upgrade of Half Life.
