Ok, I have a hp pavilion dv2000 laptop running windows vista. I have 1 GB of RAM, it has a nvidia 6150 GO graphics driver.

So, I downloaded the TF2 beta, and was able to play it for a whole day, then the next day I go to play it again, but the game crashed when it was loading, and i was left an image of many colored bricks, I wasn't able to get out of it so I took out the battery and put it back in, (I have done this before, with no problems).

So the computer starts up normally, and I see some recovery mode, and it asks me to start up windows normally, or to check windows files. I just clicked start normally, then nothing happens after that, I just get a black screen, and I would occasionally hear a windows noise. I got bored of waiting so I took the battery out and tried again, to no avail. After many times, I turned off the computer with the power button, and turned it back on, but this time absolutely nothing happens, I see nothing, no option on how to start the computer either. I'm guessing the button was set to put the computer in hibernate or something.

After many times turning on and off the computer, I finally get into windows log on screen, so log on, and to my surprise I see the same image I saw after TF2 broke. So I tried to restart it, but I still see nothing after I press the power button, I have no idea what I should, it's been annoying me all day.

I'm not sure where it's getting the 'crashed' image from, but the rest of the issues sound like they may be solved with a bios refresh, just take the bios battery out then put it back in.
