Black screen

When i try to run any game of Half Life 2 (death macth, CS:Source, Half 2 game ect.) the Valve screen comes up, that there's a text at the bottom of the screen, then the loading screen comes up...and the screen goes black...
What's wrong???

My computer:

Microsoft Windows XP Proffessional Verson 2002 Service pack 2

Computer:
Intel Pentium M processor 1400 MHz
1.40 GHz, 512 MB of RAM

1.4 gig and no video card please man buy you another comp or upgrade the one you got atleast buy a new vid card
