Oct. 15, 2007 issue - The colonel was furious. "Can you believe it? They actually drew their weapons on U.S. soldiers." He was describing a 2006 car accident, in which an SUV full of Blackwater operatives had crashed into a U.S. Army Humvee on a street in Baghdad's Green Zone. The colonel, who was involved in a follow-up investigation and spoke on the condition he not be named, said the Blackwater guards disarmed the U.S. Army soldiers and made them lie on the ground at gunpoint until they could disentangle the SUV. His account was confirmed by the head of another private security company. Asked to address this and other allegations in this story, Blackwater spokesperson Anne Tyrrell said, "This type of gossip has led to many soap operas in the press."

Can you believe this shit? How can they possibly continue to get away with this?

Why draw guns? Mustaches are much easier to draw and are funnier.

Well they have no reason to stop. Every time they do something insane, Blackwater just releases some cocky statement making the rest of the world sound like idiots that don't deserve to critique their perfect work, and nobody says anything.

I guess when you can't get anybody else to do the job, you have a certain immunity...

I can entirely picture this turning into some sort of Rainbow Six plot. Government ejects Blackwater, attempts to dismantle... blackwater goes ballistic and stages their own operations at various parts of the world leading to one culminating goal.

Easy there, Tom Clancy! They're not quite there yet. They're not at that point... yet! ;)

Wierd thing is - combine all the current Blackwater units and you could probably take and hold a city, only thing they don't have is bombing or artillery support.

If by weird you mean terrifying...

The good thing is that Blackwater is comprised of people with families they care about... and wouldn't just jeopardize that for the glory of their company should the company decide to do anything drastic like in a Rainbow Six novel. heh.

Though, I don't doubt there are those without wives or kids who are pure bred company men.
