Blank Menus in HL2

I tried changing my resolution from 800 x 600 in HL2 to 1280 x 1024. After i clicked 'Apply' the monitor clicked a few times and then exited HL2. Now, when i try to go into HL2, i get this menu (looks like a blank console).

After that, i managed to change my resolution back to 800 x 600 (blindly clicking). And it still doesnt work, i get the same thing. Can someone please tell me how to get HL2 normal again?

Any help would be greatly appreacited.

Ok, in the launch options(right click half life 2 in steam and click properties) the put -autoconfigure

Nope, still doesnt work. I re-installed HL2 and i still get this problem.
