Well not really. I have seen her before. but we never really spoke or anything other than "hi, how are ya" etc... and someone decided we'd be perfect. and there has been so much hype around us by everyones friends, its gonna be so crap. I didnt even want to do this. She seems nice and all but i dunno.

2 hours and counting before me her and the two people who set us up are going to a bbq lunch. i should probably leave the car running for a quick escape if things get awkward :D

Yeah i'll post up how things go later on.

Haha....Whats wrong though? Do you know if she is a nice person? At the end of the day, the worst that could happen is you spend a couple of hours eating free food with an attractive girl :)...or, she might stab you with barbeque implements, but thats inconsequential.

Yeah, i guess i'm worried about being awkward. its the first "set up" date ive been on. All the others happend naturally so it could be kinda wierd.

:D

Talk to her about all the hype and ask her opinion on it, thats usually a good way to get a conversation going.

As the saying here at my university goes: "Just give'er !"

That's a saying? Give her what? An exclamation point? :rolling:

Yeah you can create a bond :naughty:
Its always good to get some common ground.

Letters has a point :O

At the moment, i think i'd just rather get a friend out of it, rather than a girlfriend.

Its something we say whenever we want someone to just go out and do something even if they are reluctant too.

"You don't want to go downstairs and workout? Just give'er budy"

It has no proper spelling, its just the best way I can think of typing it out.

I get what ya mean,

"just give it a shot" i think... right?

Although talk like a pirate day is technically over for me, would that saying be something like

"Avast me matie!"

Or "just do it"... but only if you're wearing Nike shoesies.

Same exact thing happened with me....

I didnt really know the girl but i hung out with her for a lil and then we just hooked up. Next day she starts IMing me but i really dont like her (nice person but not my type), anyway she saying like i love you and stuff so i was like whatever.

I havent talked to her since, and this was during the summer so i thank god i dont have classes with here or else it would be REALLY Akward.

Come on Burnzie, you've got to be back by now...Unless she invited you over to her place :naughty:

:P

she must be a man eater, i fear we have lost our commrade.

Im back baby :farmer:

i dont like her...

yeah she's cool and all, i just dont think we'd be right.

and she's so shy. i mean i know im not exactly Mr.social either. but i was an effort just to get her to talk. and her voice was all shakey. she'd be a cool friend, but i much prefer somone who is a bit more out going. i'll still see her around. now that she knows some of us she'll come to footy nights and stuff. who knows she may change.

anyways so i retern to my single life. the past fortnight was leadnig to this and it didnt work out.

atleast it was a nice day for lunch. im gonna go fishing now, the bay is so damn flat and theres not a cloud in the sky and the temp is a nice 25* c with i cool breeze everynow and then. havent had a day like this in months.

Too bad it didn't work out. But it sounds like a perfect day for fishing, good luck

euch. blind dates. I know the feeling. sooo akward if the girl is shy. The funny part is the uncomfortable silence that comes as you're thinking of yet something else to talk about while she sits there all quiet. last one I was on I thought "sod it" and just sat there for five minutes drinking a pint and sucking on a ciggie.

Anyone else thinks of pulp fiction right now? :)

You always know you found someone special, if you just can enjoy the "uncomfortable silence".

Better say nothing than anything just to talk...

and Burnzie - maybe you found another friend or your relationship could develope to more.

maybe she'll open up a bit. but for now i stay a swinging bacholor (sp) :naughty:
