Ok, this'll probably be shite, but i'm going to let blind enthusiasm and nostalgia cloud my judgement on this one. I lost coutless afternoons to Blood Bowl as a kid - still have a Goblin team somewhere in the loft - and have wanted a video game adaption for years!

The trailer promises online leagues, player customisation and team management.

Please, please be good!

Bring it on you stuntie ****s!

Really, this could be the best thing ever. Really.

It definitely looks cool. If there's a game that could help me overcome my hatred for football, this would be it.

Aye, it's not my favourite sport by a long shot. Add a few chainsaws though .... :)

Oh, those Dwarves are looking in the wrong direction and are going to get creamed by those orcs.

My thoughts exactly. I used to get all of my good information from White Dwarf and Dragon magazine. Too bad there were precious few people here in the States who wanted to play let alone had even heard of it. ;( Online sounds like it might make up for that though!!

Now they just need to make a game for Thrud. :E

I'm sure you could make your own Thrud player :)

While we're going off topic, i'd love a straight adaption of Necromunda.

Necromunda would be wonderful.
But hey, one at a time, right?

Fair enough, the Underhive can wait.

It appears Blood Bowl is coming with 2 different styles of play - turnbased similar to the original table top game, and real-time, which I hope will be more lke Madden with weapons and maiming. I really hope the online leagues/tournaments actually happen.

Why the **** would it be shit? God, I hate you guys when you don't have a clue about stuff like this!

The guys whom are developing this game already made two Blood Bowl 'ripoffs' for PC, both were very good and very close to Blood Bowl tabletop.

Initially GW sued the devs for 'copyright infrigement' for these games. Ironically it ended with said devs being hired by GW to do the second Blood Bowl PC game ever.

Anyway, if their prior fantasy sports games are any indication, this game will kickass.

And yes, online leagues/tournaments will actually happen, of course though, how fun they are will depend on the amount of players they attract.

"Sadly" there are already many 'alternatives' out there for budding Blood Bowl players who want to go computerized, sure none as pretty as this, but they are free and are pretty much 100% true to the tabletop game, enough to satisfy true fans such as myself.

As far as Blood Bowl fans go, you guys are all my greatest dissappointments!

Edit: Oh and FYI Warbie, the first video game adaption of Blood Bowl came out in 1995.

What were the previous games these guys made? I don't recall the 1995 game at all. Was it shite?

i love these speedball-type games. i hope we can do things like 2 players on a team vs cpu. thats where the fun is for me.

Hmm, I would love it to come to PSN. Not looking to pay too much for this frankly. It should drop in price pretty quickly though I would imagine.

I hope so. I've read a few early impressions that say the turn based mode with classic rules plays just like the board game. Must resist!

Sweet. Definitely gonna pick this up once the price drops. I love anything GW. And now that this is done, time for a Necromunda game, AMIRITE?! :D

Personally I'd like a new EPIC 40,000 game, sorta like DoW meets Total War.

With titans and shit..*Ejaculates all over his one dark angel space marine he still owns*:p
