Bloodlines problem

HELP!!!!!
My problem is this... i run the game and i hear the videos playing, then as menu appears i hear menu music, if i move the mouse, as i approach the buttons they make a sound. BUT - i cant see anything - on monitor i have a message - not from windows, but the kind that monitor itself generates, when something is wrong...It says "96k / 144Hz - frequency out of range"... Ive got Philips 107B. It looks like if the game set refresh rate too high or something... I changed drivers for graphics card, i tried to find some bloodlines config file where it could be rewritten or something but in the file there is no part about initial refresh or resolution...
Please HELP!! Im both angry and desperate...

Bloodlines sucks. I played up to Hollywood just to make sure its suckiness will not be redeemed by anything.

The game is tasteless, made by people with no taste, for goth type vampire enthusiasts with no taste. Tasteless gameplay, not one likeable or sympathetic person you meet, in a world populated by the most pathetic characters, or shrill, or submissive, sick. My theory now is that goth types are emotional messes revelling in repulsiveness, disdaining anything that is noble, heroic, good.

This tastelessness extends to the soundtrack. Heavy metal industrial crap.

anyway try to fiddle around with ur monitor settings in Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor.

Did you try updating the game to 1.2 ?

on my system it runs fine (otherwise try lowering the settings)

as for Huntoon "if you don't like playing the game fine but youre acting like a complete ars if you are telling us that every one who likes the game has no taste "

Thanks guys...ive managed to get it running...
Looks cool, guys at Troika however couldve gotten alot more from Source engine. Mhm, doesnt matter, looks like finally one great RPG after a long time...

great game, just finished it today....
just few complaints, even after installing 1.2 patch:
-many glitches: you put somthing in your safe but when you want it back it seems gone ... those were MY jewels :'(
-the source physics system works too buggy ! THIS they really need to fis
-add a autosafe game before every hard mission....it sucks redoin 3 missions just because you've forgotten the safegame before some 'boss'
-some fights seems 'unfair' ...or I might just suck at beating endbosses
-some weaponmodels aren't quite nice as they suppost to be ( Desert Eagle )
-Too short to feed my addiction
-when the game ends, well, it ends...it's not like GTA Vice City where you can walk around a bit after you've finnished the last mission...too bad

but it was really worth the money was playing it like 14hours a day
