Ok, just downloaded Beneath A Steel Sky so i can enjoy a great bit of retro gaming goodness to come upon a cropper, the zip file contains a .cpt file, a dsk file, a .dnr file and a readme file, the readme file containing no instructions at all as to how to use these other files. It does however make references to a program called Scummvr.

Upon downloading Scummvr and pointing it at the extracted folder, the one that winace created that contains the 4 files, it doesn't recognise any of the filetypes in the folder. Upon doing a google search for the .dsk file, which is the biggest file, i found it to be a very old type of disk image...unfortunately one that isn't recognised by any cd software i have or have heard of. Infact, .dsk appears to be an old Mac disk image file...anyone know what to do so that i can once again enjoy the goodness of such a classic as Beneath A Steel Sky :'(

I downloaded and played that game about 2 years ago on WindowsXP. I'm not sure if I had to use Dosbox or something.

Maybe if you download it from somewhere else it will come with better instructions.

I don't remember any websites to download free games from, sorry.

That game totally blows IMHO.

I'm sorry. It was a great game IMHO but I got it off a demo DVD (yes, the full thing).

Brilliant game. Where did you download it from? Try the actual ScummVM website.

Wow. Weird. I know I got it working. Have you tried running all of those files with ScummVM?

Speaking of old games... Home of the Underdogs appears to be dead...

It doesn't recognise any of the files at all when i point it to the local of the folder :s.

I'll give it another go though.

edit: got it working, just had a play around with ScummVM and you just had to navigate to the game folder and click choose.
