Blue Shift from Half Life Anthology help

Well I got HL anthology and I put all the games on steam. Now when I play Blue Shift, whenever I get my equipment and walk through the door that you cant go through unless your equipped th egame just stops and returns me to my desktop. Any way to combat this?
