Does anyone have experience with these? I normally have my monitor hooked up via VGA cables.

However, my monitor Sony G500 has 5 BNC connections on the back, and I just got the wire in today. The wire has a VGA connector on one side going into my video card, then it splits into 5 wires/colors:
red
blue
green
yellow
white

On the back of the monitor it shows slots for:
R
G
B
HD
VD

Now the problem is, I can't get it to work.

I've matched:
R with Red
G with Green
B with Blue
HD & VD: tried both ways yellow/white on and also without both

Seems like I'm not doing something correct....? The screen just stays blank and says "No input detected" with some color bars. Do I need to change anything in ATI control panel? Change something on my monitor...? I don't see a switch, theres a control panel but no options pertaining input...

I know most people probably never heard of BNC so I appreciate the help from anyone who knows about this...

EDIT: I just found this on the net...

Plug-and-Play
When your PC boots, it may interrogate the monitor to determine what its capabilities are. With BNC or 13W3 connectors, the needed signals are generally not present. Some manufacturers are addressing this by providing little widget boxes that plug in as part of an adapter cable to provide these signals but these are not common at the present time. Therefore, you may need to take steps in hardware or software to get around this deficiency.
