board question

A Radeon 9800 Pro should be in the same price range, and its much better for HL2.

the radeon9800pro is much much more expensive then this card. i think the price is toned down because of the dudes that made it, they problably aren't much known. but anyway, is the card good or what? i bought the fx5600 for ~150$ and now i see that (when i bought the 5600, that board with that price didnt exist) and wonder if i should have waited longer....

edit- majestic i like your avatar *WARNING HENTAI FREAK*

Hmm... i can get the 9800 PRO for the same price here in Swden...

Yes, my avatar is kawaii, thanks :)

lol, don't need to be thanking because i really mean it

sorry if i'm being boring, but u still havent answered my question, is the board good or not?

Don't bother putting money on a FX.

It doesn't matter the speed of the card. All of the FX line has the same draw backs and it just worse as you go down with less speed.
If you want a good card at that price, wait for the 9800Pro 128mb to reach that price or grab one of the midrange next gen. cards when they come out.

Right now, the 9800pro 128mb is 249.99$ Retail or 200$ on newegg.com here in the US.

Far Cry Benchmarks

FX shader performance is poor and with games like FarCry and HL2 they will stumble. Some games even have a special code path for the FX series using PS1.1 (resulting in reduced image quality).

i wasnt gonna buy it, my fx5600 is still to young, i just wanted to know. thnkz anyway :)
