yeah gay, I pissed off an admin pretty bad and he ****ed up all my settings, I deleted my config file but everything stays ****ed up. if i change anything, all the settings go back to the ****ed up settings. I uninstalled and reinstalled but everything is still ****ed up. any ideas what i can do to get everything back to normal?

admins can mess with your cfg, make it read only.

xLostx if it's your config.cfg delete it, if it's your autorun.cfg, delete that too.

Also try logging back on to Steam.

I already deleted my config.cfg file but i just did it again after the reinstall, there is no autorun.cfg file. I've logged back on to steam and nothing changes. any changes to my settings I make get set back to how ever the gay ****ing admin set them to. i dunno what to do

Knowing losts nature on these forums which usually makes me laugh, i can see why an admin would do something like this to him. God knows what he said specfically.

On my CS 1.6 server i have commands i can use to alter players games. reversing players controls, binding them all the 'kill' usually quite good for when they continually tk, are racist, really offensive or cheat. In fact cheaters get their entire game broken like xlostx, only can be fixed by an entire reinstall. Its harsh, is never used on anyone but cheats. You get some idiots admins though, however i'd be interested in hearing what you did to him / the server.

What is wrong with your game now lost? Laggy? Low fps? Graphical glitches? If you go back to the server the admin has ability to restore your client also. There should also be a disclaimer on the server when you join warning you of such punishments, which you read...right?

Right click config file>click "read-only">hit ok

Never worry about that issue again, all you'll have to do is reload CS:S.

Delete the GCF and CSS folder and try to see if it fixed the issue.

Altering cheater's cfg's is good. But only when you're 100% certain they cheat. Problem with most admins is they can't tell a cheater from their own arse, and it pisses me off.

Luckily no admins I've met have tried ****ing with my game, they just ban me instead.
