Book/magazine/comic section: yes or no?

People argue that there aren't enough book threads to warrant a book forum... but look at the newbie thread - ever since it was baleeted there have been very little newbie threads. I imagine lots of people would post on a book forum enough to make it interesting and interest readers into new things. Besides, I could certainly use a good review for a book before I read/buy it!

In the other thread, some people were trying to rationalize that because they haven't seen a lot of book threads that means there's no demand for a book forum. That's dumb. If we didn't have a music forum, I doubt we'd see a lot of music threads crowding off-topic. Everyone loves books. Just look at SA's Book Barn for all the proof you need.

Who's going to spam a book forum? Nobody spams the game, movie, and music forums. And if you want to talk about slow deaths, there's a couple forums on this board that're dying slow deaths.

The whole thing's at least worth a trial before we get naysaying.
