you need photoshop skills before flash
not sure if the "classroom in a book" from adobe is still around but they're great
the best way to learn flash is not through a book ..go to flashkit.com ..search for tutorials or download flash source files that users have made, take them apart and see what makes them work ..hands on is always the best way to learn

I've heard their tutorials are really good. Especially ones by Chad Perkins. But video tutorials are generally kind of expensive, but if you have the money go for it I guess especially since you've already paid for the software and want to get the most out of it. They won't be nearly as in depth as books will be, but having a visual approach to things is a great way to learn, at least I think so.
I was actually going to suggest Lynda.com tutorials, or TotalTraining.com video tutorials before I saw your post.
I think with Lynda.com you can even subscribe to their site and look at all their video tutorials with a monthly fee. I'm not sure how all the rules on that work though, but you can check it out.
EDIT: After looking... their subscription plan is VERY reasonable compared to buying the CD's themselves. And with no limitations.
