Can anyone recommend some books of either film or video game concept art?

I plan on picking up HL2: Raising the Bar (which I can't believe I completely forgot about ). I was hoping to find one for The Fifth Element but I guess there isn't one.

Thanks ahead.

There's a pretty cool metal gear solid book afaik

Raising the bar's a great book btw, I got it a while ago :)

unbelieveable.....

what? :hmph:

This has nothing to do with you. I want to start collecting books on art to get me inspired since I have been out of my drawing loop for some time now.

Any books you can suggest?

edit: wow I love the new edit, how long has it been like this?

alright, ok, I'll keep a civil tounge in your presence. But for the record I do not know any books of that reference.
But, ah if you ever need anything you know other than concept art I'm here rain or shine.

Doesn't have to be on concept art.

depends what sort of art you're into Van Gogh? vggallery.com and there are other websites around where you can find all the work of the great masters

EDIT: look up, Holbein to hockney and Chardin, would be my advice

Dude... did you even read the thread?

He wants movie/game art, not some van gogh masterpiece

I hear there are quite nice "art of" books for Spirited Away, Porco Rosso and Howl's Moving Castle. The Japanese series covers all of Studio Ghibli's films AFAIK... helps if you're an anime fan of course :P

the fifth element was directly lifted from Jean Giraud's work as Moebius ..he was the main designer

there's a ton of artwork compiliations in graphic novel form ...any good comic book store should have it
