Books on Medieval Period

Does any body have read books on medieval period or medieval ages? Concept should be unsolved murder mysteries, on pagan?s or church conspiracies, magic not witchcraft, and fights between trickster and builder believers, can anybody recommend me such type of books basically it should be B.C. I searched a lot but can?t find this type of books. Any recommendation would be appreciable.

Yes! Is there any confusion, there are 2 types of medieval period in before B.C medieval period there were pagans and tricksters it's count as Dark Ages, in after B.C it’s usually count as Middle ages.
