The original release of this film on DVD befit its black-sheep status, in the sense that Duffy was pretty lucky to secure any kind of distribution after somehow managing to burn or insult just about everyone interested in getting the thing into theaters. But fans can now rejoice, because Fox Home Entertainment has given it a terrific new transfer, a superlative audio set-up (5.1 Dolby Digital EX) and an additional commentary by partner-in-crime Billy Connolly.
  • Disc One
    • Audio commentary by Troy Duffy
    • Audio commentary by actor Billy Connolly
  • Disc Two
    • Deleted scenes
    • Outtakes
    • Original theatrical trailer
    • Cast and crew filmographies
    • Printable script

awesome movie, although i'm a little sceptical about the second one being any good

Second one? :|

Rgr they are also re releasing the movie in theaters for 1 day. Ill probably go see it and buy the dvd. One of my favorite movies.

Great flick. I hate all of these director's cuts and unrated versions and special editions though....

I don't try to be the negative one, but this movie is totally overrated and is average at best.

It had all these scenes which were (I'm guessing) supposed to be powerful/emotional. Example - the scene where Defoe listens to the orchestra music while trying to figure out what's up. It was just hilariously stupid.

Agreed on that part.

Spectacular movie, I've seen it so many times. All the characters was great, especially Rocco. I love when he shoots the cat.

I can't wait for Boondock 2: All Saint's Day.

It is. also, it lacks willem dafoe, and obviously rocco, who was the best thing about the movie. as an attempted replacement, they befriend some mexican esse called Romeo...

[edit] im not joking btw

I kind of wish I hadn't bought the "R" dvd now :p Gonna have to buy this one too now.
