Boot.ini

When ever i star up my computer i get an error saying invalid boot.ini, booting from c:/windows and then it boots up fine. I think i deleted it or something by accident how do i make a new one from scratch? And where do i paste it when its finished. I have Windows Xp Pro with service pack 1.

Erm, I think maybe, if you boot from your Windows XP Disc, and press R at the first screen it'll repair any files like that etc. - or I think you can get boot disks from microsoft. Google or something - I'm not too sure though.

I dont know much about the boot.ini but theres lots of information about it here:

maybe you could just make on in notepad with the sample boot.ini text and bung it in the right folder.
