i recently bought a cheap used hard drive, scanned it for viruses with 2 programs. (none found) but i found 2 interesting programs and wanted to know what they might be used for. anydvd and dvdshrink. I found that dvdshrink does exactly what the name implies, shrinks DVDs of course, but only works on my dvds of home movies from the camcorder. so what else can this be used for? whenever i open anydvd it just sits there.

because as a consumer you have the right to backup any information you have paid for.

It's true. It would be retarded to get barred from saving your data because of whats going on these days.

Not formatting a HDD before you send it off to a buyer is about as classy as offering someone to wear your dirty underwear.

Id be ****ed if i didnt format mine before selling it.
