Bought STALKER on Steam, gimmie some mods

cha-cha-cha-chain breaker

Sorry to tell you but the steam version is completely unmoddable, you're out of luck with mods, dal.

lol j/k. Get Oblivion Lost.

FINISH THE GAME BEFORE YOU PLAY IT WITH MODS

Anyway, I've only played Oblivion Lost. It's basicly a lot of little mods added together. It's good for the most part. I love how it affects the balance. Weapon and armour balance is made more 'realistic' (although this makes indoor combat even more difficult, and I suck at it enough already). The condition of your gear also comes into play a lot more, with most looted guns being in terrible condition and mantainence being expensive.

It adds eating and sleeping and random blowouts (which, to be honest are pretty underwhelming. It adds the ability to change artifacts by dropping them in specific anomalies. It's an interesting feature, but a bit limited and it often simply doesn't work. Money is more balanced. You get less for selling and have to pay more to buy. You actually have to watch you finances in this, unlike vanilla S.T.A.L.K.E.R. where it is really easy to get extremely rich.

It adds cut mutants, which though they're fun and give a little bit more variety I can see why they were all cut. It makes certain things more powerful, especially the controller. I love the controller in this mod. It's a lethal thing. It turns people into zombies as well as being more powerful in general.

It randoms things up a bit, with lots of different possible events. The of two coolest of which I've experienced is Freedom attacking the Duty base at the Bar and the Freedom checkpoint in the Army Warehouses being overrun by two controllers and a large pack of bloodsuckers and blind dogs.

It also makes the game open-ended allowing you to join factions and play a faction war game after you finish the story.

lol, steam version can't have mods
have fun
Best mod is oblivion lost, if you buy the retail.

Steam version can have mods, im running Oblivion Lost via steam right now.

OL is good but it changes some things drasticly, personaly I like to mix and match my own meta mod using changes I like.

These I'd recommend installing even if you haven't played through the game yet.

much improved graphics:
Float32
S.H.A.R.P.E.R.
S.W.O. (newest, don't install the shadermod that comes with it)
Fallout Flashlight

more enjoyable game:
no weapon decay
no armor decay
endurance mod
no timelimit on quests

Besides those, Oblivion Lost is good.

If you look back a few pages here in the games section, you'll come across a post by me that covers a large selection of mods for Stalker. The posts name is "Stalker Stories". Many other members also posted info which may be of interest to you under my original post.

Enjoy!

Please use bigger font next time. I can't read such small text.

-MRG

I CANNOT THERE IS NOT A BIGGER FONT SIZE MRG, BUT I WILL ASK MUNNERS AND SEE IF HE WILL OBLIGE

YOU COULD ALSO TRY HOLDING DOWN CTRL AND THEN SCROLLING BACKWARDS ON YOUR MOUSE, THIS WILL FLUCTUATE THE FONT SIZE. IN OTHERWORDS, IT WILL MAKE IT BIGGER SOMETIMES AND OTHERTIMES IT WILL MAKE IT SMALLER
