Braces are OFF.

I just got back from my Orthodontist, and after EIGHT FULL YEARS of braces, they are GONE. FINALLY.
I'm in tenth grade and I got them on in second grade.


Who else has/has had braces. Discuss the misery! I'm off to eat some Beef Jerkey for the first time in this millennium.

I'm entering Uni now, and these metal ****ing things are STILL on my TEETH.

I had them off before, but the ortho was all "Hmmm, I made a mistake" and jammed them back on six months later.

Why? I had mine done at primary school. The younger you are the more effective the braces are.

Come the start of April(I think) I'll have had my brace for a year. After that it'll only be another 6-12 months before it comes off so I've still got a pretty long time to wait. :|

I had mine for about a year. God damn it felt good getting them off. I never wore the retainer though, but my teeth never shifted so hey. GOD DAMN THEY FELT SMOOTH THOUGH.
