despite scott's involvement I dont have a lot of faith in a screen adaptation. imho the political/social overtones are lost on modern audiences. the movie was a commentary on the industrial revolution and had no action

God, Brave New World and 1984 were my two favorite books. I could live with a 1984-esque world, but Huxley's vision truly terrifies me.

Anyway, I agree with Stern. Some books aren't meant to be made into movies.
