I'm not the only one that listens to Bright Eyes, am I? I never see them brought up anywhere and I have no idea why. Bright Eyes is so effing awesome words cannot describe. I'd say more but first I just want to see if anyone else listens...so anyone else out there?

The new album Cassadaga is great stuff (which album isn't) and I recently saw them live when they came by Austin, Texas. I was right up front leaning up agaisnt the stage and it was the greatest thing ever. I took a few pics (blurry, no flash), and I managed to record the last song he played : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-q9MqdcgRE

So anyone else like?

You said that Bright Eyes is better than Tool, NIN, and Radiohead.

I... I can't know you, man.

his music was good years ago but now pop culture has it's dirty little influence in his mind. I remember when he was so unfamous...*sigh* i'm old

I can't stand that man's voice. It makes me want to strangle him with his guitar strings.

Pfft, doen't matter how "popular" he is now, the music is still as great as ever. I hope you're not one of those people that stopped liking them just becuase they get played on TV now.

He meant that the music got poppy instead of interesting :P

Yeah but then he added that bit at the end, complete with *sigh* and all. I dunno, I just know too many people who stopped liking Bright Eyes for the wrong reasons, I guess I jumped to conclusions, rofl.

Regardless, the music is still as awesome as it was in his first albums. Sure he's not as crazy as before, but that doesn't mean its not good.

He's good. Music's gotten more mature with his new album and his lyrics are still good stuff. Voice is getting better. His music definitely hasn't gotten poppy, I don't know where the hell that's coming from. He actually started changing his style with his new cds instead of the same rehash sound of his old albums. And while that's not good for all artists (here's hoping Modest Mouse sinks back into their old habits), it works for him.
