Of course they officially split; Zach de la Rocha wanted to do solo stuff. This is why they aren't a band anymore.

And bah, Audioslave are good dammit. As long as they exist (and I reckon they will, for a long time), there's no chance of RATm getting back together for a long time. Just let it go, they split up like five years ago.

Audioslave arent a PATCH on Rage, i ****ing love rage...cant stress that enough. His solo career sucks, audioslave suck. Chris' voice gets on my nerves, he needs help. Zack back, and RATM back would be amazing. Rage do not suck, they are ****ing class...i bet you dont even know any of their songs. I'm sure you'd be changed unless you like crappy r n b shit.

Anyway, they split cause of prolonged issues within the band (pent up rage), but I guess since these three are back together it was mostly just Zack

Where is Zack de la Rocha now, anyway? I seem to remember he wanted to do a solo career, but that was about 4/5 years ago and the only things I've heard from him are We Want It All (amazing but pretty much sounds exactly like Rage) and March of Death with DJ Shadow.
