Bring back the Escape maps

Anyone else out there remember playing escape maps, those were some of the best moments in my cs experience. It took the money equation out of play on the terrorist side but it was fun breaking into the armory and fighting your way out. ES_Jail pwned!!!Bring back the escape maps!!!!

I never played the escape maps, but it does sound intriguing

I loved ES and AS game types. To me, the more game types the better.. just adds to the mod. That way if you get bored of one you can try the other

ES_maps are cool.. but actually i hated AS_Oilrig a lot!... it's also a kind of ES map..

Yah AS maps are similar to ES maps in the sense one guy has to escape to safety, but he doesn't have a chance to be armed with a real weapon like all terrorists trying to flee to safety, busting into the armory was a tension filled moment because if you weren't one of the 1st guys in you weren't gonna get the best gear to be able to defend yourself. I do like both AS and ES maps though, I think we need more variety in CS

Agree 100% bring them back or if there not bring in another form.
Been playing for many years now and I miss as_ maps and es_ maps also. in source they could make a very nice re-vamp of as_oilrig. and es_jail.

to bad they probably wont.

oilrig was one of my favorite map of all time in 1.6 along with italy.

AS_ = great
ES_ = great

CSS=not AS_ or ES_= not great

Trinity was the one with the subway trains right? That was am awesome map!!..Long live ES!!!..bring it back man, lets give it another go, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to convert to source, at least it would give us alternatives to the mindless droves of cs servers that run dust maps 24/7..

But yeah I agree... as_oilrig, as_tundra and es_jail they are truly oldskool CS maps!! And if I were Valve I'd throw in cs_desert as well, just for the heck of it!
and yeah I am serious...

Haha!!, Maybe I'm thinking of another escape map, cs_desert and as_tundra were classics (Tundra had the waterways everywhere right?..that would look good in source!), hell while wer'e at it they might as well remake de_jeepathon2k, that was some of the funniest moments I ever experienced, driving that jeep around with the bomb planted IN it! and running yourself into a pile of cts just as it explodes, also picking off 4 people in it driving around with the AWP, I lfelt like JFK revisited..

I remember the old maps, es_trinity, cs_desert now thats going back a bit. All those nights playing the likes of cs_tire, cs_iraq, cs_arabstreets, de_foption, and one called as_riverboat or something.
