one of my dissapointments with hl2 was the fact that the citizen skins had changed from the cool leather jackets you see in this picture: http://www.halflife2.net/media/displayimage.php?album=2&pos=29
and the white shirts you see here: http://www.halflife2.net/media/displayimage.php?album=2&pos=35
to the not all too cool blue uniforms...

im wondering if its possible, and more importantly how to change the skins... ive never done this before and some tutorials would really help (tough, i am very skilled in photoshop)

also, would it be possible (and again, how) to modify the citizen model to replace the resistance ones? (in order to make them look like in the second screenshot)

edit: it didnt occur to me that this should go to the

if all this works out, i might consider changing back some other skins aswell, maybe the antlion: http://www.halflife2.net/media/displayimage.php?album=2&pos=13

maybe we could make an oldschool E3 mod, with E3 levels, weapons and what not!

edit: it didnt occur to me that this should go to the Models & Skins section, can somone please move it there?

I really like the jackets that the citizens wear in the first picture, the metrocop skin would be a nice change of pace too. Hopefully you can find someone to help you out, I'd love to have the e3 skins as replacements.

anyone?

i would guess you would have some .vmt extractor...

Man, Valve put SO much work into all this stuff that just got scrapped in the end.

That screenshot (found also inside the front panel of the game box) looks amazing, and yet they just threw it all in the trash. I know, I know, it looks like Russia, but it's great nonetheless.
