So what is this? I haven't heard anything about it but I can apparently pre-purchase it on Steam

Kinda looks like a very shiny Borderlands to me. Seems like some of the character designs are a little... too Borderlands. It's made by Bethesda though and they make some neat stuff with big free roaming action... so that might be fun online.

it's by splash damage who have a great track record for creating class based mp games. however the end result is either omg awesome (rtcw : et) or mediocre (quake wars et)

Mirror Fortress 2: The Secret Gears of General Knoxx

This is the game I'm most looking forward to in the future. Diablo 3, meh. Episode 3, I can wait another year or two. Brink, OH MY GOD YES I NEED THIS.

I'm really hyped for this, sadly I'm doubtful my PC will be able to handle it well, so I'll probably get it for the 360.

The positive side of getting it for the consoles/360 is that there'll be no 'hacking' at least.

I don't think that it's dumbed down so much as it's just easy to find out the objectives, meaning players end up working together for an objective whether they want to or not.

ya it's really sad that so many people have such a hard time grasping the concepts of team work...

I think it's a nice system for new players, it'll help them learn the maps and how and when is best to tackle an objective.

Now hopefully they take a page out of Valves book and give lots of nice free updates!
We'll probably get a lot of clothing DLC though
