This is what happens when you take the concept of tolerance to an unhealthy extreme. Living side by side with many different cultures and religions is great but the level of spineless backpedaling that Europe is doing just so they won't seem intolerant is ridiculous. The extreme pacifists will be overrun by the aggressive zealots, this is why Fundamentalist Islam is growing so rapidly in Europe. They are afraid to say no.

Why do you think that we don't have this kind of problem in the U.S? Because most of the Muslims in the U.S are moderates and disapprove of extremism as much as other Americans. The extremist we do have are watched and arrested if they make a move to carry out terror. (points to the event in Dallas a week or so ago). Now, maybe I don't have clear view of what is going on in Europe. Perhaps people in the video are like the Westburrough Baptists Church of Europe and no one really pays attention to them.

If someone here has a more compleat view I would be happy to have it explained to me.

Disclaimers: I have nothing against Islam but extremist sects that promote violence and issue threats need to be watched carefully. As long as they don't threaten or act out violence they can say what they want.

The problem is nowhere near as bad in Europe as the US media makes it out to be. We aren't being overrun and we aren't back-pedalling with the exception of the UK. France for example is very tough on Muslims preventing them wearing full body veils that mask the face and they don't back down to threats.

The only problem we have is our politically correct government who allow terrorists to claim asylum and claim full benefits whist preaching hate, or allowing them to protest at troops returning back from duty. A disturbing story not so long ago was that we had Al-Qaeda supporters in MI6 (our top intelligent agency) and they were recruited after the 7/7 attacks as the government didn't think there was enough Muslims and forced MI6 to recruit them.

Thank you for the clarification. So the recruited Al-Qaeda supporters just so they wouldn't appear intolerant? wow, that takes the stupidity cake.

It is hard to know where to draw the line between what is free and allowable speech and what is dangerous threats. This is why I think it is important to have a set of core values and morals.
