They have a time graph for each showing the memory going up and down as they get used.
They were used for almost 3 hours of browsing and they did not run a script to load multiple pages. No additional extensions were used.

The ending MB usage (not average) for each browser was:
636.9 - Safari
194.4 - Internet Explorer 8.0
191.9 - Flock (FF2 based browser)
190.6 - Opera 9.5
111.8 - Firefox 3.0

It looks like FF3 doesn't hold previous data in memory all that long by looking at it's graph.

Wonder what it'd be like with the most commonly used FF widgets added.

639 for Safari. Oh dear. =\

I have several extensions on, but none of the major ones like Ad Block or whatever it is called, and my FF3 has been running for more than 3 hours and is sitting at 100mbs of ram used.

I love FF3.

Also, I just noticed I'm in your sig, and I have to wonder, when the **** did I say that?! Hahahahahahaha.

I installed FF3 on my gfs laptop since she had been using FF2. I later asked if she noticed any difference surfing the internet and she said it was a lot faster without really knowing what I did or that it was a new FF. She did notice the blue URLs though (FF3 on Vista).

I bet it's the Windows version which is really new. I didn't notice anything that mentioned Mac.
