So I got 2 BSOD while playing CoH and one browsing the Internet. So they created a dump file or some type of log somewhere but I'm not sure where. So anyone know? Plus what should I do with the logs to help find the problem?

Edit: Vista 64 bit. Thought that may help. Sometimes I hate computers!

Could be alot of things, give us everything about your computer. CPU, PSU, RAM, VIDEO card, os, mobo, etc etc...

Right-Click "My Computer", Click "Manage", Click "Event Viewer" Double-Click either "Application" or "System".
You should be able to find the reason the system crashed and what had caused it, under those two option menus.
You must remember the date and around the time the system crashed, in order to pinpoint the event.

Good Luck.

I feel so tempted to flame M$!, but I won't do that here, not here.

Well I ran the vista memory test and it said that a problem was found. So it seems it might be my RAM. The temperatures are all fine.

Q6600 + Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme
P5K Deluxe WiFi P35
4GB Corsair CM2X1024-6400C4 (Well 3GB as my computer doesn't like the 4th one.)
500GB WD
620W Corsair HX

One important thing we need, is the BSOD code that is given to you when it happens. If you don't see it and it goes away too fast, follow these instructions.

Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel> System(under classic view) > Advanced Tab > Startup and Recovery settings > Uncheck Automatically Restart under System Failure

Doing this will keep the BSOD up on your screen as long as you want so you can write down information about it. Then you can just restart your computer manually. Very useful.

The number that you are interested is where it displays a number similar to this one(but possibly different):

Stop: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x805354A0, 0xF76866E4, 0x00000000)

You only really need to write down the first two number sequences... 0x0000008E (0xC00000005

But of course your numbers will be different. You can post them in here and I can look them up, or you can easily look them up via the Microsoft website by going to a search engine and typing something along the lines of: microsoft stop: 0x0000008E

So I was playing Coh again and then it crashed so I decided to web surf and I got a BSOD again.

Stop 0x0000001E (0xffffffffc0000005, not sure about the c, i can't read my stupid handwriting.

What are your system temperatures like? Are you sure you aren't overheating?

MORE INFORMATION
A "STOP 0x0000001E KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" error message is a common type of STOP error message you may receive on a Windows NT-based computer. A "STOP 0x0000001E KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" error message indicates that an error condition was detected by the kernel and Windows NT was unable to continue running because of this error condition. The types of problems that can cause a "STOP 0x0000001E KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" error message are very similar to the problems that cause a "STOP 0x0000000A" error message, such as bad pointers, invalid addresses and other types of access violations. The STOP 0x0000001E bug check identifies an error that occurred in a section of code where no error handling routines exist. Note that most exceptions are generated directly in the section of code that is running.

More on the page of course.

And I'm not entirely sure if this is the exact problem you're getting... did you remember if it said KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED?

I don't believe so, I will take a pic or write more details when it happens next. Still after running that memory diagnostic test, I'm fixed on the idea of a RAM or motherboard fault.

If i wanted to remove a ram stick, but had no anti-static band. would it be alright if i grounded myself by touching a radiator or something? Also where could i place the stick where it would be safe?

I usually just put my sticks ontop of a cardboard box/plastic/something rubber.

I avoid putting them on anything metal, and definitely don't lay them on carpet.

So i removed one stick and did a memory test and I seem to have got the faulty stick. however this also happened to my other stick in the pair and I sent it back a while ago and it came back all fine and healthy. So could there be something wrong with the memory slots of my motherboard?

Also I will need to test that stick out in another computer but will be difficult. And is Coh playable with 2GB of ram? I played it and it used my 2GB up and slowed down to a crawl. Thinking that i might have to turn down setting nows.

best way to ground your self in situations:

plug PC into power but keep it turned off at wall.

This means you will be grounded to mains supply, just keep touching ur case/ lean on it when u pull out hardware.

Lie it down on glass or card or something that isnt going to holda staic charge

I.e not polythene:p
