Bsp not working?

I'm trying to make a simple map for halflife 2 singleplayer and have all the directories in the game configuration window set up correctly. But when i go to the hl2/maps folder it only shows the .map file, and i cant seem to find the bsp anywhere. Any suggestions?

just in case, i use source sdk hammer.

if you set up a mod, the .bsp should be in that folder(ie C:/modname)

the other place to check would be sourcedsk/counter_strike_samplecontent/maps

then you have to copy it to your hl2/maps folder to run it in HL2

use the windows find if you still can't find it anywhere. Check your options to see where its been saving them too.
