Bug with cars in MP?

I've noticed that what happens when you run someone down with your car, is seemingly random. Sometimes you hit someone and they die, as they should, but sometimes you hit someone with a super car at top speed and they don't die. I noticed one time when I got hit myself by a car at high speed, that I didn't receive any damage from the impact, I just lost a tidbit of health from the fall. It happens a lot that people simply don't die from being run over, it's frustrating.

Yeah I've noticed this too, it's a seeming(as you say) random bug, sometimes I run over people at average speeds and they die, sometimes I run over people at incredible speeds and they don't loose any healths(I can see with the healthbar when you aim).

could have been spawn protection
but i know what you mean
sometimes it looks like you've/they've been hit but you/they get up very quickly or simply do not receive any damage
it can be very frustrating
still, it's so satisfying when it actually works
