I have a mission for you tech savvy folks out there. Your mission is to build a computer using this site www.newegg.com. It must include everything (including flat screen monitor, speakers, sound card, mouse keyboard, lan card everything) your budget is $3500+ (though not over $4000).

the specs should be something better then this:

Intel Pentium 4 Processor 550 with HT Technology
(3.40GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition
1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
500GB SATA RAID O (Data Striping)
19" Dell Ultra Sharp Digital Flat Panel Display (1905FP)
256MB PCI Express x16
NVIDIA GeForce 6800
16x DVD-ROM Drive; 16x CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW*)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS (D)Sound Card
Dell 5650 Surround Sound 5.1 Speaker System with Subwoofer
3-Year Limited Warranty* with XPS Telephone Support; 3-Year At-Home Service Price: $3699

and yes someone is actually going to buy it....

This is what I am thinking is good/ok so far

dont get a foking p4

get an athlon 64 bit winchester core they are miles better

p4's IPC = 6 Athlon 64's IPC = 12

IPC Means instructions per clock cycle, you do the math.........

I hate you.....

you can pretty much get top of the line everything with that kind of money

yeah I was thinking about having them get an athlon 64 fx but am to lazy to change all of that and I was trying to match the specs they told me. :farmer:

Hey whatever you guys think is better let me know, my cuz is saving up money for all of this so I have time to get better parts :borg:

Dude, you can really afford to buy all of the best anything. Why do we need to help you pick out the best of the best? Seems kind of silly IMO.

No love them and praise them...and then someday...when your good friends and its near your birthday you should ask for a $3,000 computer!

It's the perfect plan!!

im clueless about the above post but u can practactilly get any top of the line part with 3500

Ok, I'm going to shoot my own ways of life in the foot by saying this, but when you get past a certain ammount of "richness" you might aswell just buy a custom made ****ing computer. http://www.falcon-nw.com/

Shoot, I just got finished building "the best" (for an intel rig, anyways, see sig below) with only $1100. Of course, I didn't buy any new drives or a monitor. Not to mention I don't have a sound card since I don't want one... but dang. You can easily build it with that. I'm having troubles of my own right now, sorry I can't be of any help.

yeah am thinking about having them do that lol because I just thought about it. If I where to order their pieces they are gonna expect either me or my other cousin (whos the essence of lazy) to put it together. I sure as heck am not gonna bother to put all that stuff together. (they don't live anywhere near me btw)

wow, your rich. anyways get an athlon 64 fx-53. and why the hell do you need a 500GB HD?!?! like seriously. oh and get a 6800 ultra, it's much better than the already awesome 6800, but since you have the money......why not!!!!!

lol, curse you rich family boy!... anyways get that fx and make sure u buy corsair... 3 GB ^^ oh and i would recommend Radeon X850XT best vid card in it's brand... but... since u HAVE THE MONEY, you could buy GeForce 6800 ULtra SLI (2 GeForce 6800 Ultra) and make sure u buy asus or abit mobo with SLI support :stare:
PS= wouldn't be bad to cooperate with some money in my paypal!... joking :D

send me $2735.55, via check, and ill send u 2 geforce 6800's in sli mode with mobo. that's how much its worth im serious.
