Building a computer.

Okay...My computer is getting sort of old so I figure I need a new one, though I want to build my own this time.
First of all let me state that I have a budget of 1200 bucks, I already have a Radeon 9800 pro 128 mb...((This is all just for the computer box)) Basicly im asking for what software package to get and what hardware to get. A few tips on building one perhaps.
Also another thing- I need a monitor and I have about 400-600 dollar budget for that.

Go to Motherboard.com they got anything you need. Just use the custom combo creator and it ill not let you pick any hardware thats not compatible
