Building new comp, need help on components

Alright, my friend and I are building new computers. This is the first time I have built and I need some help. Here is a list of the components I have picked out, let me know if there is something else I need or something I should replace.

Case: Thermaltake Black Xaser III Super Tower Chassis, ATX Super Tower, Large Side Windows, With 7 fans & 420W Power Supply

Motherboard: ASUS "A8V Deluxe Wi-Fi" K8T800 Pro Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket 939

GPU: X800 XT P.E.

(Still waiting for GPU and Mobo...)

Processor: AMD Socket 939 Athlon 64 3800+, 2.4 GHz, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor

RAM: 2 Sticks of Corsair Value Select 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200

Hard Drive: Western Digital 120GB 7200RPM SATA (Raptors are way expensive, and I didn't think that there would be an in-game performance increase)

I have also selected a Sony CD Drive, DVD Drive, and Floppy drive & Windows XP Pro SP1a. I also plan on using a SB Audigy2 and Logitech 5.1's that I already own (I didn't mention keyboard, mouse, or monitor because I already have them as well). Are there any other supplies or components I will need? I was also wondering if there was a noticable difference between Corsair XMS and Corsair regular both DDR 400 PC-3200. Yes, you will want XMS memory.
You do not need the most expensive with 2-2-2-5 timings but buy XMS memory with at least 2-3-2-6 timings.

If you are conserned with price then look into OCZ with their low timings and low price.
It would be a better option for you then.

Sorta funny. You are buying a high-end system yet you want to skimp on the ram. hehe

lol, well not exactly skimp, im just trying to buy things are at a good price... will ram really affect gaming preformance THAT much? so, what is better XMS 2-3-3-6T1, or OCZ Enhanced Latency 2-3-2-6T1, or Kingston 2-3-2-6T1 HyperX?
Those are the ones that i am gonna choose between.. or do you have any other suggestions (im looking for 1GB for less than or equal to 300 bucks.) Thanks for your help!

XMS would be a bit better but I bet the OCZ is the best price. Is that right?
Kingston will perform about the same as the OCZ, give or take.

well actually the xms is the cheapest, but then the ocz... but the xms is 2-3-3-6T1 when the others are all 2-3-2-6T1... so which one would you recommend? thanks for all the help by the way.

I would probably go with the OCZ.
If the XMS was the same timings they probably would be better but cost more.

Here is some random drivel that I post about installing SATA drives everytime somebody uses the word "SATA."

You have to install SATA drivers before you install windows. Your SATA drivers are probably on your motherboard CD. Put those SATA drivers onto a floppy.

Once Win2K/Xp is setting up, at the first blue screen hit "F6" to load a thrid party mass storage driver. If you miss this, you will be warned that there are no harddrives attached. Restart the machine and Tap the "F6" Key a few times as the CD is spinning up. Windows will go through its install routine, then prompt you for an OEM disk for your MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER. Insert the floppy you created in the steps above, and load the first driver on the list. <Purposely skipped part about RAID> LEAVE THIS FLOPPY IN THE DRIVE!

Let 2K/XP do the partiiton and isntall. Choose isntall to the empty disk & choose NTFS FULL format, not quick. If you don't have any other hard disks on your regular IDE channels, there can be a LONG pause after the format, be patient.

IF YOU HAD THE LONG PAUSE DURING INSTALL, you will have the same booting into 2K/XP. Once the install is all done, go into the BIOS, and change "AUTO" to "NONE" for all channels wherer there are no devices connected. NOTE: This is for your regular IDE channels, not your RAID array.

Let windows do its thing. Follow these instructions even if you don't have a RAID array.
